Our Story

Sam remembers it vividly. It was a typical Saturday, and he'd finally decided to get his carpets professionally cleaned. He'd envisioned fresh, clean floors and a tidy home. What he got instead was a soggy nightmare. The "professional" cleaners left his carpets soaking wet, transforming his living room into a squishy obstacle course. Hours turned into what felt like an eternity, waiting for them to dry, constantly worrying about the damp smell and potential mildew.

That frustrating experience, however, planted a seed. As Sam navigated his waterlogged home, a simple, yet powerful, question formed in his mind: "How convenient would it be if you could get your carpets cleaned without the long drying times?"

It was a lightbulb moment. He realised there had to be a better way – a way to offer deep carpet cleaning that didn't disrupt people's lives for hours on end. From that personal frustration, the idea for Primodry Carpet Cleaning was born. Sam was determined to create a service that delivered truly clean carpets, with the ultimate convenience of being dry and ready to use almost immediately. He wanted to spare others the soggy Saturday he endured, and in doing so, he built a company focused on efficiency, quality, and most importantly, your convenience.

How We Clean Your Carpets

Our technicians follow a five-step deep cleaning process...

Step 1 - First we use a commercial vacuum cleaner to hoover your carpets, even if our client has vacuumed the carpet prior to our arrival. Although a carpet may look clean after being vacuumed with a household vacuum cleaner, it will still retain some dirt. Our commercial vacuum cleaner picks up more of it, but even then, it will not be able to reach deeply embedded dirt. You will see the extra step we carry out to reach deeply embedded dirt and soil in step 3.

Step 2 - We'll apply one of our specialist cleaning solutions over the entirety of the carpet using a sprayer. This solution loosens soils that are attached to the carpet fibres.

Step 3 - We run a Contra Rotating Brush machine over the carpet to achieve two goals. First, it pushes our cleaning solution deep into the carpet ensuring it reaches every fibre. Secondly its long bristles coupled with the rotating action of the brushes allows us to reach deep into the the carpet pile, pulling the deeply embedded dirt to the surface of the carpet. We can then scoop this dirt up into a tray that is attached to the machine.

Step 4 - We take a carpet bonnet and dip it into our cleaning solution, using a wringer to remove excess moisture. This is then placed on the end of a bonnet cleaning machine, which is the the carpet, absorbing the dirt into the bonnet. A clean dry bonnet is then attached to the machine and once again run over the carpet, but this time heat of up to 85 degrees is applied via a heat blower on the machine, drying the carpet in the process.

Step 5 - The last step involves grooming the carpet with a grooming brush. This causes the fibres to all point in the same direction leaving the pile looking uniform and neat.

Water Extraction Cleaning

Although Water Extraction Cleaning has the disadvantage of potentially long drying times, we still offer this service. It's not as popular as our main cleaning process, but there are situations where we prefer to use this method. If your situation requires this type of cleaning we'll let you know.
